We all love our pets and consider them to be a part of our family but sometimes accidents can occur. You may need an expert to help clean up the mess. Pet urine can cause permanent damage to your floors and fabrics. Urine deposited on the carpet can penetrate the fabrics and contaminate both the backing of the carpet and the sub-flooring material below the carpet. Often, without knowing, pets will urinate continually in the same general location. Urine odors can come from the floor, cement or wood, the tack strip, and even the framework of the house behind the walls.
Thuro Clean Services Pet Treatment Process - We will saturate the affected areas with a chemical solution that combines the power of natural oxygen and odor modification to destroy the odor. After proper dwell time, we will extract with a water claw to completely remove the urine and cleaning solution from both carpet and padding area. We will then clean these areas again with our normal steam cleaning process. Severe situations may require removal and re-installation of carpet pad and sealing of sub-floor.
Note: There is always a chance that the yellow urine stain pets leave on your carpet may not be able to be removed. The longer the stain sits, the less chance it has of being removed completely. Scotch Gard is recommended after cleaning to protect the carpet from future accidents.
Do-It-Yourself Pet Stain Removal - The best tool to have is a small one gallon wet vac or small spot removal machine. A small wet vac can be purchased for under $30.00. We recommend a small machine because the more convenient, the more likely you are to get it out for an accident.
If you can get urine up while it is fresh you will have a better chance of 100% removal. Simply extract the urine out of the carpet. Then apply some of Nature Miracle pet stain and odor removal and let it sit a few minutes. Pour 1 cup of warm water on the spot and extract it out to rinse the carpet. Always dry the carpet as much as possible and never scrub or rub the carpet. This will distort the face fiber and break down the fiber protection and allow for easy staining.
If the urine spot is older than 24 hours, apply some of Nature Miracle pet stain and odor removal, rinse the carpet with warm water and wet vac. You can mix 1 part white distilled vinegar with 2 parts water and apply it to the spot, rinse with warm water, and wet vac. Do not use vinegar on fresh urine spot as the acid from the vinegar cannot counter the acid from fresh urine. The vinegar works best after 24 hrs when the urine has become alkaline.
